Hazama, also known by his extended codename Hazama Honoka (Shadowy Serpent Fang), is a playable character, one of the main antagonists, and according to official sources, he was 5th main character in the BlazBlue series, prior being demoted as one of the secondary antagonists due the first playable appearance of the central antagonist of C Series since BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, YĆ«ki Terumi.
He returns as a playable character and antagonist in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. He is also one of the villain protagonists of Season 2 alongside the original character System XX.
Bio[]
The shady head of the N.O.L's intelligence department - jolly, smooth and outgoing to everyone around him, Hazama is in fact a manipulative and scheming individual who seems to have plans and contingencies for almost any situation. He is one of the two vessels (other being Kazuma Kval) created by the fallen Magician Scientist Relius Clover/One for the fallen hero YĆ«ki Terumi/Takehaya Susano'o, a vengeful specter god who wants nothing more than to destroy the world itself. Hazama served as Terumi's backup vessel, should Kazuma be killed in the Dark War. Terumi's schemes were responsible for many of the actions which drive the plot of his home series, earning his spot as one of its main antagonists. Secretly wanting to separate from Terumi, Hazama wishes to be sentient instead of being Terumiâs vessels, and to feel both human emotions and pains, due to him being an artificial human who donât have much of fleshed hearts implanted in his body.
At some point, Hazama also existed in Bloodedge Experinece universe, yet it is unknown whether this is the same Hazama from prime universe or different one like Relius and one of the Six Heroes Valkenhayn R. Hellsing.

- Hazama has color palettes of the following characters: Axl Low (Guilty Gear), Relius Clover (BlazBlue), Naoto Shirogane, Phonon the Chermeti (UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH), Adam Taurus (RWBY), and Woody (Toy Story).
- Additionally, both antagonists shared their Japanese voice actors.
- Along with Platinum the Trinity, there was suppose to have a continuity error or an alternate continuity where Cross Tag Battle alternatively takes place, where Terumi is never with Hazama anymore, while Trinity is still inside Platinum.
- The Season 2 Episode however, has the storyline confirms alternatively takes place after Central Fiction, just as Persona side alternatively takes place after Ultimax, as evident by Terumiâs Susanoâo clone in the said episode confirms Terumi and Trinity had already split from Hazama and Platinum respectively, except Ragna, who was suppose to be ceased to exist.
