Tsubaki (in her Izayoi form) first appear alongside Hakumen at a Riverside Plaza, the location from Under Night In-Birth universe where their contestant opponents Seth the Assassin and Hyde Kido, even the guest gatekeeper Linne originally hailed from.
Tsubaki and Hakumen registers a stamp collecting contest by System XX, battling Seth and Hyde in a non-fighting theme contest known as "Stab the Night Blade's Princess", thus involving on stabbing Linne, the princess herself, who is currently not in a healthy state due to the previous food testing contest incident where Linne was one of the guest judges and one of the two individuals recently got sick by one of the contestant's death pudding, resulting a fatal food poisoning. The rule is to stab Linne, who is stuck inside a multi hole barrel into the right hole once, and she is will be freed. If the team's contestant failed to find a right hole, it will be a contestant of opposing team's turn on each rounds. Unfortunately Tsubaki and Hakumen unable to stab a right hole, even Hyde, who was hesitant because his sword Insulator might kill Linne as well. As Seth gets tired of this wacky multiverse contest situation they are in, and Linne's recent state is unworthy for him to kill her, using multiple Captive Segments surrounding Linne's barrel holes so Hyde will catch her immediately and win, Tsubaki protest that the contest is full dishonorable means, especially dislike of Seth's dirty tactics. Unfortunately, System confirm there's no rules about poking multiple holes at once, and Hakumen tells Tsubaki to forget it, as they leave both Seth and Hyde to look after a fully poisoned Linne.
