Fritz (Ambassador Swordsman) is a recurring character from the Akatsuki En-Eins series.
He returns in Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle where he is one of the Post-Season 2 DLC characters, after the expansion's initial release.
Bio[]
A military surgeon who practiced in the Imperial army during the war. After learning about the reappearance of his once thought to be dead friend and companion, Akatsuki, Fritz takes it upon himself to eliminate those who wish to claim the power of the Blitz Motor for themselves. Fritz was also responsible for creating technology that gave Murakumo Zero (or simply Murakumo) the ability to duplicate, and the Gesselshaft whom Murakumo Zero becoming part had been abuses. Aside this, Fritz also regretfully involve with cloning projects (like Elektrosoldat, and both indirectly and possibly En-Clones and Tempelritter) and Blitztank projects at time when he learn Murakumo Zero's conspiracy.
Since his youth, he was studying reproductions for the purpose of regenerating the body lost due to war wounds due to intellectual curiosity, but regretted that it was diverted as a weapon during the war. The truth of the story is that they heard of the resurrection of Akatsuki and asked the former researchers to cooperate, but they had to be killed because they were all replaced by copies. He is strict but gentle.
Fritz would eventually found out that the Perfecti Orders of Knights Templar is behind the conspiracy of the events, such as been controlling Gesselshaft from the shadow ever since among of those co-joint building a new allied organization before resurface and recently declare a war on humanity years later after Murakumo's fall from Gesselschaft's leadership.
In addition to being a master of swords, he has a very high physical ability despite being old, such as crossing a rowboat between Japan and China, possibly due to wearing a prototype version of Blitzanzug.

- He shares a same Japanese voice actor as Sai.
- Most of his moveset in this game has been reworked and very different than his home series. The first one to have reworked movesets is Tohru Adachi.
- Fritz has color palettes of the following characters: Kaigen (Hanachirasu), Kamui Tokinomiya (Arcana Heart series), Professor Ozpin (RWBY), Makarov Dreyar (Fairy Tail), Valkenhayn R. Hellsing (Blazblue), Vergil (Devil May Cry), Adam Taurus (RWBY), and Moriya Minakata (The Last Blade series).
