Mei-Fang (Marvel of Elemental Science) is a recurring character from the Arcana Heart series.
She returns in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle as one of the Season 2 DLC characters, after the initial expansion’s release.
Bio[]
A product of China's technological advances, Mei-Fang is an android created by Dr. Mei Ling Hua, who used to be colleague of Kira Daidōji. Considered a marvel in Elemental Science, she has a body engineered out of ether and a bone structure made of an ivory-ether frame, as well as powered by a Spriritual Engine. Mei-Fang's suit was woven from ether-fibers, much like Heart Aino's ribbon, Saki Tsuzura's hair band, Kamui Tokinomiya's clothes, Konoha's scarf, Yoriko Yasuzumi's hat and robe, making it both unique and expensive. She was also programmed with 4,000 years worth of Chinese recipes and a wide array of martial arts knowledge. When Mei Ling went missing one day, Mei-Fang took it upon herself to find her, despite being instructed not to look for the doctor. It turned out that Mei Ling was blackmailed by the head of the British branch of the Ministry of Elemental Affairs, Mildred Avallone, into working for her. Now Mei Ling and Mei-Fang are members of the Rosenburg branch of the European Celestial Union, established by Petra Johanna Lagerkvist, where Mei-Ling is the celestial engineering advisor.
Mei-Fang is a serious android who is seen as perfect in everything. She is normally is seen as cool and calm, and doesn't show many emotions - much to the disappointment of Mei Ling. While she struggles to understand human behaviors, emotions, and expressing herself, she's able to get along with Kira due to her lack of emotions. Mei-Fang is also very caring and protective of Mei Ling, even though she doesn't show it often, and has an easier time expressing herself whenever she is around.
