Ryōbi (The Savage Sniper With A Sadistic Streak) is a recurring neutral character from the Senran Kagura series, first debuting in the first game of the second/new timeline, Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus.
She made her first fighting game appearance in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, where she is one of the Season 2 DLC playable characters.
Bio[]
A first year and a member of the squad of would-be Elite ninja at Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, a school for evil shinobi. Ryōbi was once a student at Gessen Girls Academy, along with her twin sister, Ryōna, after her older sister, Ryōki, died. They heard that Ryōki's died because of a rampage from Hebijo student, Miyabi. So Ryōbi and Ryōna transferred to Hebijo to gain Miyabi's trust and later kill her to take revenge for Ryōki.
Suzune (AKA Rin) told Ryōbi and Ryōna the truth about Ryōki's death, that a yoma killed her and not Miyabi, Ryōbi decided to ignore her words and keep convincing herself that Miyabi was Ryōki's murderer. During the assassination attempt, fellow Hebijo student and teammate Murasaki took the bullet to protect her sister, Imu, and Miyabi. Imu was able to beat both Ryōbi and Ryōna when her bloodline power, the Root of Calamity, triggered and possessed her, putting her in a crazed state. In the end, the Hebijo Elite members made it out alive and ready to fight another day.
Ryōbi is a serious sadist who enjoys making other people squirm and likes to take her anger out on people with her bullets. Because of this, she takes delight in being mean to her twin sister Ryōna, who in fact enjoys it. Despite her sadistic nature, Ryōbi has been shown to be compassionate toward her victims, and she feels guilty that her older sister Ryōki died because her final words to her was that she wished she would just die, before Ryōki went on the mission where she was killed. Ryōbi has a serious complex about her chest, but during her Shinobi Transformation, it grows in size.
