Mycale (Perfect Evil Reincarnated Moon Witch), is one of the main antagonists of Akatsuki EN-Eins series and the original leader of Gesellschaft's originator, a misanthrope cult known as New Perfecti Orders of Knights Templar. Initially debuted in Akatsuki Prototyp Nr. 1 (which later retitled as Akatsuki Blitzkampf and its final update Ausf. Achse) while possessing Kati (who then becoming her own character in the sequel title En-Eins Perfektewelt (Anastasis)). Her “true” form, Perfecti (or Kanzensha in Japan) was originally Mycale-possessed Kati’s palette swapped boss version, until the form becoming entirely different separate character form in the final update of the first game. Between the first game’s ending and the second game, she abandon Kati and currently possessing Anonym Merel Lambuth (also debuted in Blitzkampf, a Hong Kong nun, thus the latter replaced by her superior, Anonym-Guard in the said sequel.
She returns in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle where she is one of the Post-Season 2 DLC playable characters, under her current Perfecti identity and it is Anonym Merel’s body, due to Kati’s playable presences, and the reasons mentioned above.
Bio[]
An ancient evil French witch who founded Gesselshaft's originator, the cult known as Neu Perfecti Tempera Orden in over hundred years ago in 1235, having been manipulating history itself, being responsible for potentially hundreds of major events in hopes to conquer entire world, such as the Blitz Motor. Before being executed for her villainy, Mycale manage to use black magic to be able to link her soul into her Dainsleif, in its sealed form marshal wand state, and be able to possess a victimized host who touches it, should her original body, as well as the rest of her chosen hosts she possessed previously either died, or weaken while released from her possession safely. It is presumably that the reason Mycale created Dainsleif was because she was inspired by Praeses Valkyria's Heilige Lanze's attributes, though not entirely powerful than its originator.
During a near end of World War II, where she possessed a body of a female doctor, she and her cult formed an expedition research alliance with Imperial Japanese soldiers Akatsuki Zero (later Murakumo Zero in the present), Akatsuki and Doctor Fritz, and Ernst von Adler from a now defunct Ahnenerbe, which is then became Gesellschaft. Following the researcher organization's discovery of the power source from Agartha, she was also present on Akatsuki's success of being a super soldier who utilizes Blitz Motor under his test subject name "Prototyp 1". Possibly at the same year as Akatsuki Zero betrays Akatsuki through sabotaging the latter's ship in late 1955, Mycale was at Shanghai, China, where her host body was killed by Adler, leaving only her soul contained staff.
In a present, the 2005, a young German girl named Kati,s who was with her parents at Shanghai for a business with their associate, Sai found took Mycale’s wand. However, she ended up being possessed by Mycale and the witch tricked her parents into thinking “Kati” already looking mature, much to Mycale’s discharging of her host’s annoying behavior. Sai however, having known the real Kati too well became suspicious about her "personality change". Realizing Gesellschaft's new leader Murakumo uses her organization for his own scheme, Mycale needs a Blitz Motor to do so that may come into conflict with him over their own godhood gains. She was also responsible for manipulating Marilyn Sue Dajie into betraying her boss Yin Hu (one of Murakumo’s clones) and allow her to take over the Tridan Tribe, leading one of its member Dawei Ye Lue ends up uncovering the truth who Yin Hu was.
Her last encounter when possessing Kati was likely against the member of the Holy Club of Heresy’s Armed Interrogator consist gun user nuns from Hong Kong, Anonym Merel Lambuth. As Kati confirmed to be freed from Mycale’s possession, indicating Merel won and freed the young girl, the nun made a biggest mistake for touching Mycale’s wand without thinking and realizing the witch is still alive inside her staff, thus ended up being her current host. At time after Murakumo’s defeat where Mycale still possessing Merel's body, the now-possessed nun agent's superior, Anonym-Guard begin to seek and save Merel from Mycale’s possession. With Murakumo's defeat, Mycale finally got all Gesellschaft's assets needed for her misanthrope plans to annihilate the old humanity ten years later in 2015 under its originator name, the Tempera Orden.
Despite her crime for using Kati's body, her former host still think her as her only friend, believing that both are loners and never had a single friend in their life.
Trivia[]
- Because Kati was her host, they share same voice actresses.
- Mycale's new host, Anonym Merel Lambuth, much like Yūki Terumi and Tsubaki Yayoi's respective base forms only appears during the character's intros, making Mycale being the only non-BlazBlue characters to do so and the second known villain after Terumi.
- One of her color palette is a reference to her Japanese voice actress' first international fighting game appearance in SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy as one of the World Heroes playable fighter Jeanne D'Arc.
