Minori Amanohara (Annihilation Angel Subaru), is one of the main supporting charwcters in the Arcana Heart series, and where she debuted in the second update of the third game Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars!!!!, but somehow act as a replacement for the original final boss Ragnarok, rather than in special situation.
She returns in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle as one of the Season 2 DLC characters, after the initial expansion’s release.
Bio[]
After its establishment, the Drexler Institute developed artificial Valkyries and Arcana. Minori Amanohara was one of the few products of that research who was born at the Japanese Branch of the Institute, hailed from a wealthy noble origin. She loves superheroes and likes to be one, but under the watch of her strict mother at home cause her feels annoyed with her boring noble lifestyle.
When the evil Institute secretly kidnap her from her family’s watch into their experiments, Minori was turned into a “Hybride”, a special Valkyria who can dual-ly wield the powers of the Arcana and the Geist (armored spirits developed at the Institute). She aware to be in a same prison as the Valkyrias’ Weiss (when she was originally Sophie) and Scharlachrot, including a young non-Valkyria Eko, but their cell locations between her and the said three are different. Until that day where Petra Johanna Lagerkvist rescues Weiss and her fellow cellmates, Minori escape as well thanks to them, but the four former unaware that Minori was a prisoner too.
“Doing good deeds in secrecy” is her motto, so she uses her ability to defeat evil without being seen like one of the stealth-based heroes. Although frustrated by her inability to help Heart and the other Angels, she continues to fight for world peace with her newly acquired powers, and stands tall fighting for peace as the "Annihilation Angel Subaru" (self-proclaimed super hero name). With her Hybride power, and her trusty dragonhead-like gauntlets Geist of Fafnir and Schwarz, Minori’s dream becoming a superhero to put an end of Drexler Institute to justice was just a beginning.
Trivia[]
- Unlike other original represented fighting game characters who made a playable fighting game debut in every updates per list on certain entry, Minori and the rest of the characters like Dark Heart was only debuted in post-first updates, due to the first update (Love Max) itself has no single new character at all.
- Like Relius Clover, and Mycale's Perfecti form (unless you count Celica Ayatsuki Mercury if not counting a re-introduced Lambda-11 (a full clone gameplay-type character counterpart of Nu-13)), Minori is a sole representative of an update title she first debuted.
