Neco-Arc (Great Shining Cat), is a recurring gag character within the Nasuverse, who often appear as a cameo character, particularly Tsukihime visual novel and its followups, with her in-gameplay fighting game debut was in a second entry of Melty Blood fighting game adaption series, Melty Blood: Re-ACT, before becoming fully playable in the third entry, Melty Blood Act Cadenza.
She returns in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle where she is one of the Post-Season 2 DLC playable characters.

Neco-Arc is a Neco spirit counterpart of Arcueid Brunestud from Tsukihime timelines. According to Aoko Aozaki, Neco spirits came to exist because of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg's multiversal travels, and not all Neco spirits' appearance are solely look like Arcueid, such as Neco-Arc (Nero Chaos' counterpart) Chaos and many more. Neco spirits are commonly sentient alien cyborg cat who lives in an underground Fairy Land village, the Great Cat Kingdom, a pocket dimensions within Magician's Box created by Zeltrech. Despite its inhabitants, actual crocodiles also exist there. The GCK is also connected to multidimensional coffee shop known as Ahnenerbe, owned by the manager George (Type-Moon multiverse version of a real-life Joji Nakata).
Prior to her involvement in Melty Blood events, She plays a major role on accompanying the titular guidance of "Teach Me, Ciel-sensei!", whether the players receives a bad ending in Tsukihime visual novel-only genre games. Her other arch-enemy is often being Miyako Arima. She is also the owner and bartender of the Ahnenerbe Cafe, particularly during Carnival OVA series. At time when Tsukihime remake timeline exists, Neco-Arc has been upgraded at cost of one of her past memories.
By the time of Fate/Grand Order, Neco-Arc indirectly responsible for summoning servants like Artoria Pendragon to Tsukihime remake timeline, leading to the former's eventual encounter with a demi-servant Mash Kyrielight to fix the summoning magic system that should be affected to the world where summoning warrior spirit are impossible like Tsukihime remake timeline. Despite the differences, both Neco-Arc and Mash takes the important missions seriously as a team.

- Much like how Hakumen being the Jin Kisaragi from alternate timeline alongside having completely different appearance and movesets than his prime counterpart, however, Neco-Arc also has completely different personality than her counterpart Arcueid, such as being a gag character herself.
- She alongside Blitztank are the only known lethal joke characters in Cross Tag Battle.
- Like her home series, she is considered to be the smallest characters in the game.
- Like Tohru Adachi, one of Neco-Arc's moveset is being reworked, except mostly on her normal-based moves. Among the moves and properties are EX Neco Sidestep, and livestream property of Neco Packet 2022 move.
- In the Episode 3, she is one of the primary commentators alongside Hazama Honoka. Though she and other Neco spirits act as medical support when the loosing participant suffers a critical conditions on one of their body parts. In the said episode, Neco-Arc also develop an intense rivalry with Teddie over mascot supremacy.
- She is also one of the few characters outside Akatsuki EN-Eins series to have special intro with Blitztank
- She is one of the mascot-based characters in Cross Tag alongside Taokaka, Teddie, and Blitztank, counting Linne's tamed Void pet Kuu, despite it is not playable.
- Unlike in Melty Blood: Type sub-series, Neco-Arc will not contain Neco counterparts of original Tsukihime heroines, including Satsuki Yumizuka's, both voice actresses, idle taunts and full color palettes, as they are part of .
